Almost school time!

Summer is almost over and school is about to begin. The girls will be at the same school this year which will make mornings a little easier for me. Even though I am not looking forward to waking up early. During the summer I have been able to get an extra hour of sleep in the mornings and it is so nice! I am sleeper, I don’t know how some people get around with less than 8 hrs a night. I am an 8 hr minimum kinda gal!

So far we have completed registration and gotten most of their school supplies. Kadence’s nap mat should be in sometime this week. It is so cute, I wish I could make them! I think I might try and learn, it would be very handy. I am still having trouble picking out their backpacks, please make suggestions iany of you have found some cute toddler bags and lunch bags. Anyway, we have got to go shopping for some clothes some time. The girls have such small waistes but long legs that they are hard to fit. Hopefully I will make some extra shopping cash from my yard sale?

Addison has also informed me that she will not be moving up a grade this year because she is 3 and “number 3 girls” have to be in K3! She will get over it I am sure when she sees that her little boyfriend is moving into K4 as well. Kadence will be in the K3 class, she is excited to go to big girl school. She was kinda slow on the potty training, well not really slow on the subject more like stubborn but she is finally done. She has just a few accidents here and there but nothing major. Now if she can master the night time training then we can say GOODBYE pull ups.

Trying...

My grandmother has passed down her sewing machine and I have been trying very hard to learn how to make some things for the girls. I am hoping that this time next year I will be really good. Practice makes perfect, I hope! Regardless here are a few item I have made recently, the girls like them and it makes me feel really good when people ask where we got them and the girls say " my mommy made these SPECIAL for us!"

Remodel Weekend

We spent all weekend working around the house and catching up on things we had let slide for a while. Bama spent the weekend ripping out old floor covering and putting in new tile. So far it looks fantastic. We have done both bathrooms, the laundry room and now we are moving across into the kitchen.
On a trial run I moved both girls into the larger bedroom and all of their toys and TV, movies etc.... into the smaller room. The pic is of their new play/recreation room. As you can see they are totally comfortable with it. They also like sleeping in the same room, they don't end up in the bed with me and Bama as much. Two birds, one stone........

June brought the beach....

We had such a great time at the beach! Believe it or not but Bama and I have never been on a vacation to the beach together. We have been together for almost 8 yrs and never once even visited the beach! I know your thinking " NO WAY" but yes it is true. No fear we won't be missing anymore fun at the beach. We vowed to go every year even if it is just for a couple of days. It being our first trip also made it the first trip for the girls. They had so much fun playing on the sand and in the water.
....The only problem I had was that I got sun poison, check out my outrageously swollen legs and feet. They think it had a lot to do with my medication? who knows....

Graduation

My sister graduated in May. It was definitely an long awaited event for her, the rest of us not so much. The closer it got the older I felt. Mom and I were nervous, excited and so so sad. We tried to be strong for her and hold back the tears and we did really well. After it was over and they all started to go their separate ways is when it hit, she is not a little girl any more. She has become a wonderful young woman. She will be starting college in a few weeks and seems to have all of her ducks in a row. I am so proud of her!

I left off in March...

I will begin with April. Nothing much went on in April except Easter of course. The girls really enjoyed hunting eggs this year. Neither of them liked the Easter Bunny too much? Kadence has always been mortified of any dressed up character\person. Addison I thought would be fine with it sense she is my outgoing, Nosey Nelly but she too was very reluctant.

Welcome

Many of you know that I have not been very kind to my (FOUR FIELDS) in the last few months. So when I decided to come back on my blog wasn't very nice to me either! For some reasons all of the changes I made to my blog wouldn't save and it would revert to previous layouts. So I have had to begin a new blog and here it is. Hopefully our friends with follow us on this new journey. I will be posting a " getting up to date with us, blog soon". I will also be trying to catch up with all of you, I missed you all!
