Ringing it in...

I can't believe that I feel so old. There we were beginning a new year and my thoughts were on my nice fluffy warm bed. We had a blast though. Great friends, great fun, great food...what more could you ask for. The kids of course always have the best time. Staying up late hanging out with their buds. So here's to a new start, hopefully this one won't pass by so fast!

I AM random....

So as most of you know I go through random spirts of unblogness???? So here is a small recap. We had a terrific Christmas except that I had to go to the ER on Cmas Eve Eve ( Wed. the 23rd). Just an allergic reaction to some medication, scary but easily fixed thank goodness. I have been trying just to get back into a rhythm but it's hard when the kids are out of school. They are such busy bodies and it's not easy to keep them occupied. Addison did get LuLu the cuddlin kitty and Kadence did get the Pitter Patter pup but not from Santa, from Gmomma & Gdaddy Wallis (my mom's parents). They were absolutely thrilled and Addison assured me that she would definitely not be a FAILURE now! We also got a new family member Halle, she is pictures below sporting a black velvet coat with a touch of white under the collar. She is a doll and was already house trained (a plus for Mommy). So now we are a family of six. Bama, Cassie, Addison, Kadence, Turk and Halle. HA HA the girls still outnumber the boys, sorry fellas! Santa was very good to the girls this year despite some employment fallbacks. It seems that just when I think Cmas is going to be extremely slack, it turns out to be a better Cmas that years before. I think it's because we appreciate what we get more when we don't have a as much. Great lessons we learn from experience huh?

Anyone seen Kadence?

Oh there she is.......BEHIND Santa! I thought for sure this year that pictures with Santa would turn out a bit better than the past attempts. Yeah well not so much....so Addison was all about sitting in "The Lap". She was the first to get in line to tell him "What I really wanted mostest in the whole world."
Flashback: Two weeks before she tells me " Momma, I really really really need a LuLu Cuddlin Kitty, that is white and brown and rolls over and meows, for Christmas. If I don't get LuLu then I will just be a FAILURE!" Come on what 3 year old thinks she will be a failure if she doesn't get a particular item for Christmas????? My kid, my 3 going on 15 kid!
So she is the first in line and soon as they give the okay that Santa is ready she busts through the door and jumps in his lap and says "Santa, I think you need to write this down so you don't forget....I NEED LuLu the Cuddlin Kitty she is a frillfriend (Furreal Friend)and she is white and brown and she rolls over and meows and lays down and she is so so cute and I NEED her so very bad." Why didn't I take a video? It was so cute.
Kadence didn't cry, God bless her little self but she refused to uncover her eyes while she was close to Santa. He even gave her candy, so at the last minute she got about two feet from him and yelled swiftly " I want pitter patter pup, black and white. " The she turned around and ran straight back to Bama. Maybe next year we'll get a good photo of both girls with Santa?
