Just not scattered about on my counter. At least these little elves are smart. They pulled out the cookbook, blew the dust off of it and began their masterpiece. What's funny is that they didn't know that I was still awake, they were caught in the act and quickly turned back into their plushie counterparts. I fear the worst for the morning findings. Carry on little elves....I am really off to bed now!

Helpers not so helpful....
Last night I wrapped a few gifts that I had gotten from the Black Friday adventure. I must not have secured my supplies quite well. This morning when I got up and stumbled through the house I almost tripped over wrapping paper rolls.
Imagine my surprise when I found the elves with scissors, tape and paper. They had cut snowflakes out of paper and they where scattered all around. Jingles was tangled in the scotch tape and the roll was empty.

We got visitors!
Last night our friend Hopie wrote a letter, for her elf Ollie, to give to Santa. It went something like this:
Dear Ollie,
Addison and Kadence want elves, boy or girl, it doesn't matter and elves are really cool so I wanted to see if you could talk to Santa about getting them each an elf. I have already talked to their mom about this and she thinks it's a wonderful idea. She wants them to have their own so when they carry them places they can each play and take their own elf. PLZ WRITE BACK!
Love Ya Hopie!
What a precious girl and a sweetheart! We love you Hopie!
So today we went to our last Tgiving meal for this year and when we got back GUESS WHO CAME? Two little girl elves that will visit us til Santa comes with his sleigh to take them home! They even brought decorated trees, from Santa's shop, for the girls to put in their rooms.
We read their story and named them. Addison's elf is Jingles and Kadence's elf is Miss Holiday. This evening we went over to Mammie and Paw Paw's and Santa had sent an elf to watch over them too. His name is Christopher. So Santa has all kinds of little spies around our home. While we were Mammie and Paw Paw's Addison realized that she had left Jingles at home all by herself and Kady had remembered to bring Miss Holiday along. So of course when we got home Jingles had pulled balls off of the tree, gotten snowmen out of their place and messed up Addison's clothes. I guess Jingles was trying to teach Addison a lesson about leaving her home alone. I can't wait to see what these two mischievous elves get into tonight?

So much to be thankful for...
The pics really have nothing to do with the post. Just some Tgiving fun with food!
This year I list the top 7 things that I am thankful for:
1) I am thankful to belong to God's family and have him in my life.
2) I am thankful for my beautiful girls. They are a blessing and more than I ever imagined.
3) I am thankful for my Mother and Father. Their lessons have taught me to be so much more than their child, it has taught me to be a good person, wife and parent. (For the most part...HAHA).
4)I am thankful for all of the friends in my past, present and future. You all have made an impact on my life lessons.
5) I am thankful for the loved ones that are still with me on earth and I am thankful for those that I have lost but will see again one day.
6) I am thankful for all the moments that seem so insignificant but yet impact me so greatly.
At last but most certainly not least.
7) For my husband: HE IS - true, loving, supportive and my partner in life.
I left this for #7 and chose 7 "thankfuls" because this year, actually on Monday of this week, we celebrated out 7 year anniversary. People say it is only downhill from here but I have a feeling that things are gonna be looking up from here.

Outdoor Decor
Little Kadence was MUCH better today. So we got some need outdoor time. I felt so cooped up yesterday. We decided that today would be a good day to put up some Christmas decorations. The girls had a lot of fun this year. I am not sure if it is their age but things seem to resonate more with them. It is so nice to be able to spend a majority of our time with my parents. They get to share all of the girl's experiences and reactions which is important to Bama and I.....so thankful for family!

Close to the potty camp out.
This is a picture of our make shift bedroom last night or i should say this morning. This was about 4am. Poor little thing, she is so pitiful. Now she has started running a high fever. hopefully I can keep it down long enough for whatever this is, to run it's course. I did get a lot of things done through the night (not sleep ). So we are both pretty pooped!
Daddy Do is off to the store for more supplies. Just a little moment on my soap box: why aren't there any store close by that are open 24 hours that carry sufficient sickness supplies......I went to Wmart, Walgreens and CVS last night around midnight. NONE of them where open. I had to settle for 2 Liter Sprite and some WAY overpriced Saltines at the Gas Station! What is up with that?

Early birds.
We put our Christmas tree up about a week ago but had some technical difficulties. All of our Christmas decorations remained at the old house due to the fact that we didn't have any storage when we moved. So our renters didn't need the extra building, so those items got left. Sadly most of our Christmas decorations got ruined. There must have been a community of critters who made their home in one of our trees and all of the plush items. The saddest part is that most of the items that got chunked where things that Bama and I got our first Christmas as a married couple. It was probably time for most of it to go but I tend to hold on to things that mean so much to me.
Daddy Do managed to get all of the lights working on the salvagable tree so that we would be ready for decorating. Tonight we had a "free night", which we hardly ever get. So I stopped in at HL and got a few items for the tree. I couldn't find everything that I had in mind which never happens to me at HL, I usually come out with more than I came for. My mind can't figure out what I want exactly to top the tree. It's kinda one of those "I'll know it when I see it" kinda things? I hope!
May I suggest the " Shatter Proof" ornaments to anyone with small children. They can be so independent while decorating and you have less worry of cut fingers and other extremities? Not all of the ornaments shown here are shatter proof but none where lost in the making of this 2010 spectacle.

We had dancing " Garland Fairies" and Cmas music frenzy. That video will come later...too funny!
