Anyone seen Kadence?

Oh there she is.......BEHIND Santa! I thought for sure this year that pictures with Santa would turn out a bit better than the past attempts. Yeah well not so much....so Addison was all about sitting in "The Lap". She was the first to get in line to tell him "What I really wanted mostest in the whole world."
Flashback: Two weeks before she tells me " Momma, I really really really need a LuLu Cuddlin Kitty, that is white and brown and rolls over and meows, for Christmas. If I don't get LuLu then I will just be a FAILURE!" Come on what 3 year old thinks she will be a failure if she doesn't get a particular item for Christmas????? My kid, my 3 going on 15 kid!
So she is the first in line and soon as they give the okay that Santa is ready she busts through the door and jumps in his lap and says "Santa, I think you need to write this down so you don't forget....I NEED LuLu the Cuddlin Kitty she is a frillfriend (Furreal Friend)and she is white and brown and she rolls over and meows and lays down and she is so so cute and I NEED her so very bad." Why didn't I take a video? It was so cute.
Kadence didn't cry, God bless her little self but she refused to uncover her eyes while she was close to Santa. He even gave her candy, so at the last minute she got about two feet from him and yelled swiftly " I want pitter patter pup, black and white. " The she turned around and ran straight back to Bama. Maybe next year we'll get a good photo of both girls with Santa?

Fall Free For All

Dangerous and fun! Sometimes Daddy's ideas really scare Mommy but I tried to bite my tongue on this one. So daddy detached the slide from the swing set and while he was doing some yard work, decided that it would be really cool if he piled all the leaves at the bottom of it. So he tells the girls to climb up and jump as far as they could, so they would land in the pile. It really ended up being a lot of fun for all of us. Kadence was so hilarious, to be so little she is such a daredevil. She kept telling Addison " Jump HARDER sister!!!!". I think Bama had the most fun. After the leaves he put the girls in their wagon and took them to the very back of our yard which has a good incline and let them go. They were laughing so much that they could hardly breath. At this point I had gone back in to sew and my machine is directly in front of the back window and has a great view of the play area. I wish I would have had my camera because while Bama was explaining to me through the window that he had everything under control, he didn't look where he was going and stepped right in a hole and busted his butt! I laughed so much that I could barely ask if he was okay! Good thing he was, just a wet shoe.

But it's not our birthday yet...

I decided that we would celebrate the girl's b'days together this year and far away from Cmas. Addison gave me heck about it. She finally decided that it was fine that we had a party but " It was NOT her real birthday!" Either way Mammie and Paw Paw hosted a small birthday party for their side of the family for them. It turned out to be a lot of fun. Sunday was gorgeous.

What do you get....

What do you get when you start midweek with two silly girls and the candy holiday of the year?

What do you get with two Halloween parties in one day at the same time?

What do you get when you spend over 30 minutes in line for a balloon animal?

What do you get when children, who have waited all week to trunk or treat, get freaked out by people in costumes and decide (after all of the preparation) to forgo the whole event?

What do you get when you spend 2 hours trying to get your family to cooperate for at least one decent shot?

What do you get when you run the golf art into a bush of thorns and briers?

What do you get when you have to go to the park as a peace offering for the scratches from the briers?

Stay tuned for the Answer........

Pumpkin Gew

We carved pumpkins with the fam this weekend. NiNi and JB had a pumpkin gew fight with Addison and Kadence. It was hilarious until Addison got yucky in her hair and had a come apart. I mean wallow in it if you will but don't get it in the HAIR? There pumpkins turned out so cute, Kadence wanted stars all over hers and Addison wanted a dragon? We are going through a boy stage, which is totally fine and Daddy is enjoying it! Anyway here are a few shots from this event.

Swedish Fest

Saturday we spent the day with our friends in Thorsby Al. at their “Swedish Fest”. It was so much fun, the girls had a blast. There were tons of booths and I got some great crafty ideas there was a antiques car show for daddy and they had a Noah’s Ark bouncy for the kids etc… Just tons of stuff to keep us busy. The parade began at 9:00 and it was sooo cold. I had the girls all bundled up in their wagon to watch as the floats went by. We came home with a huge sack full of candy! We left around lunch and headed to Clanton to get some Macky D’s as the girls say. Then we went over to a local flying field where they have an RC Plane club. It was so neat , you wouldn’t believe how fast those things fly! Bama has a gas powered RC truck and it goes pretty fast but those things were amazing. Hopefully it will be out of the shop soon! We got home just in time for the Bama game RTR and they day was complete.

Black day

Today is black day for Addison and Kadence's classes. Each week they learn about a different color. They learn to spell the word and they learn about all things that are black such as spiders, bats, etc... So on the Thursday of each week they are supposed to wear something the color of what they are going over. So today is "Black day". They wore Halloween shirts and these awesome bows below. ( Shameless plug!) Bows by Frilly Nilly check it out for yourself!

First Halloween / First Fall

Addison was so cute on her first Halloween. Because her birthday was in January she was almost one for her first trick or treat. We had so much fun. I thought she wouldn't be to keen on the "petal head" as Bama called her but she was a good sport!

The next portrait is of Kadence's first fall, me being a bad mommy got all the way to the photo shoot and realized I had left their costumes at home? So the only ones I have of that Halloween are with my camera and they aren't very good. Isn't she just so tiny to be almost one? It drives her crazy now cause I still try to hold her and rock her like a baby.
They are and have been a definite handful but I wouldn't have it any other way! I found a blog through a blog of a blog of a blog ( haha ) but it is about a woman with Irish Twins and it is so neat. For those of you who don't know, Addison and Kadence are Irish twins as well. To make them even more rare, they were born in the same year. Addison on 01/12/2006 and then Kadence on 12/13/2006. I know it is strange to think about but it's kinda cool, at least to me and Bama!

School picture day

Since Bama has been being Mr. Mom I am used to getting up, getting myself ready and getting on the road. Last night Bama said to me, " Ya know picture day is tomorrow?" I totally forgot! "Can you PLEASE get the girls ready and their hair done?" Sure I will "Well I know I won't do it just right and I don't want to be blamed for bad pictures!" Am I really that picky? " Definitely!" So I ran late this morning but managed to get a couple pre-pic pics. They looked cuter than the pics! It made me realize what I am missing with Bama doing all the fun things for them. Maybe things will be back to normal after the beginning of the coming year.

Company Picnic

Last Saturday we went with my family to my dad's (PawPaw) company picnic. It was great until the rain began. They had tons of games for the kids and a clown making balloon animals. Unfortunately we didn't get to actual do any of them because of the weather. The food was good and Kadence won $50.00 in a drawing so I guess it was still worth it!

The additional blog will be for my hobby ( semi -business prospect? ). After all if Inever try I will never know if it would have worked, right? Anyway visit me here and email me here frilly.nilly@hotmail.com for more info. I am counting on everyone to be honest about the things I make for the sake of a decent crafting reputation. In other words if it looks like crap, PLEASE tell me it looks like crap!

Saturday Stomp

Last Saturday after the Alabama game we went to Morgan Creek Winery for their annual grape stomp. Even though it was muddy and we got wet, it was fun! Kadence wouldn’t participate at all so Addison go her footprints done and then we moved on to the grape barrels. Then neither one of them would get in SOOOOO mommy did! It was so weird to feel all those squishy grapes between my toes. After the tasting there was an “ I Love Lucy” look-a-like contest. It was hilarious, there were a couple who looked pretty close to her. The girls were exhausted from running all over the place so we left before it was over and they fell asleep before we even got out of the driveway.
